Schumaker becomes the 21st manager in franchise history after serving as a Senior Advisor last season. Schumaker was the 2023 National League Manager of the Year after leading the Miami Marlins to their 4th postseason appearance in club history, becoming just the 10th manager in MLB history to win that award in their rookie year at the position.
