T he Texas Rangers have watched Robert Garcia and Chris Martin stumbled early on this season late in games, so on Monday night, they went to a different option in the ninth inning. Jakob Junis nailed down the save in a 2-1 victory over the Mariners. At the very least, he has earned more save opportunities as manager Skip Schumaker tries to sort out the bullpen early in the season. It’s so early that’s he still figuring things out and giving hitters time to get their swings in order. At some point, though, it will become too late for struggling players.
